My son loves to play with the iPad. We have bought lots of games for him, and he is allowed to play 20 mins each day; but when he gets tired of playing one he closes the app and starts trying all the others. The iPad calendar seemed to be particularly interesting for him, pressing buttons, passing pages and.. deleting my entries. Thats when the idea of creating a calendar just for him came up. Last week we released KidsCal and he loves it. He is just learning to read and write so he is having a lot of fun finding letters on the keyboard and spelling out words. He is learning about the days of the week, months, the concept of time and more. His entries at the moment consist of what he wishes he could do and not what he really has to do. So for next sunday he dragged an ice cream and a soccer ball.

This is the German only version of “No more singing on the farm”.

“Der kleine Esel darf nicht singen” ist eine auf den Bremer Stadtmusikanten
basierende, interaktive Geschichte für Kinder von 2-5 Jahren.
Die Kinder können einfach nur zuhören oder die Geschichte aktiv miterleben.

Tiere und andere Dinge können berührt werden und machen Geräusche
und sprechen.

Teil der Geschichte sind sieben Lernspiele, die auch einzeln aufgerufen werden können.

1) Memory (Wetter – Es regnet, es schneit, etc.)
Findet die zwei gleichen Karten!

2) Tierstimmen erkennen
Welches Tier ist hier zu hören?

3) Puzzle
Welcher Umriss passt wohin?

4) Zählspiel (Räuber fangen)
10 Räuber müssen gefangen werden!

5) Buchstabenspiel
Bringe die Buchstaben in die richtige Reihenfolge!

6) Schlafspiel (Tiere wollen schlafen)
Ziehe die Tiere auf ihren Schlafplatz!

No More Singing On The Farm

“No more singing on the farm” is an educational application designed for bilingual toddlers ages 2 – 5.
Based on the story of the Bremen Town Musicians, adapted for young children, it contains a very simple storyline in English and seven fun activities that will keep your toddler entertained while learning German.

Your child can follow the story from the beginning and go through all of the games or he can choose his favorite game from the main menu. Touching the screen lets the characters talk, sing or even snore in German.

Voices are native German speakers.

This app is also great for non bilingual toddlers who are starting to learn German.

Activities (German words your child will learn):

1. Memory Game (Weather conditions)

2. Recognize the sound of an animal (Animals)

3. Matching shapes puzzle (Different shapes and objects)

4. Counting game (Numbers) The mean robbers appear randomly on the screen. Everytime the child catches one by touching it, the number appears on the screen and is read out loud.

5. Drag letter game (Food) Drag letters when completed the word is read out loud.

6. Move animals to sleeping place (Furniture)

7. Chase the Robbers (Colors) The child can choose a color ball to chase away the robbers.
